Chopin's Colourful Aeolian Harp!!

A performance in 2019 at the stunning church of St Alfege in Greenwhich...

A most sonorous composition, imbibed with harmonic colour and richness of pianism with its extensive use of arpeggio and well carved melody. It's penetrating melody is exalted in the excellent acoustic of St Alfege's, the piano reverberating with vibrant colour and dynamic brilliance. Such is the beauty of this composition that Schumann, upon hearing Chopin himself perform this work, remarked, that it was like a wheel of colour streaming from the piano, each note played with delicacy and brilliance.
