

Biography
Mark Dowling is a versatile pianist based in London, known for his work in teaching, directing, and performing music. As an educator, he teaches piano, music theory, Djembe, early years music, and music technology at both primary and secondary school levels, offering individual lessons as well as whole class instruction. Mark’s passion for music education shines through in his ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and inspire a deep love for music in his students. He works with both Bromley Youth Music Trust and Richmond Music Trust.
In addition to his teaching, Mark serves as the Music Director at The Barn Church in Kew, where he oversees the musical aspects of worship services, ensuring the music enhances the spiritual experience. He leads the choir, accompanies singing on the organ and piano, arranges music, and builds a volunteer-based musical team. Previously, he was the music and worship coordinator at Battersea Fields Parish, focusing on contemporary worship.
Mark is also an active performer, playing with various groups, such as the Bromley Concert Band, Chiswick Jazz Orchestra, John Ongam Big Band, and The Dowling Trio. He regularly performs solo piano recitals and accompanies choirs, demonstrating his technical skill and musical sensitivity.
